Working with Children

Working with young children, adolescents, parents and families requires a flexible approach to understand the needs of the child within their family and the world around them.

At New Leaf Psychology we understand the importance of working creatively to help your child feel relaxed and engaged in sessions.

Depending on the age and developmental level of the young person, support may involve a combination of sessions working directly with your child as well as parental sessions, and where appropriate, and with consent, school liaison.

Being a parent is the toughest job in the world with no rule book or salary to show for it. At New Leaf Psychology we understand the importance of parental self-care and wellbeing for a happy family life.
